Andreas Sandmeier

Hobby photographer, born and raised in Switzerland. After first experiences in my youth with my father's Kodak Instamatic my interest in photography was awakened.

After finishing my studies as an electrical engineer, I bought a Canon AE-1 SLR with which I deepened my knowledge in (analog) photo technology. My preference for black/white photography developed, which I still prefer today.

Then a few years of photo abstinence due to other priorities...

In the 90's then the first frustrating attempts with various compact digital cameras. Good enough to "take pictures" but definitely not what I wanted.

For this reason I bought a Nikon D7000 in 2011 and took the step into digital photography with this camera.

Currently I am indulging my hobby with an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II and III. Since my photographic preference lies mainly in landscape photography, and I also love to spend time in nature and depend on travelling with little luggage, the lightweight MFT technology suits me very well.
